There are four types of blackjack tournaments.
The two types which are only played online are Continuous and Sit and Go tournaments.
Continuous or otherwise named as Instant Tournaments
are launched immediately provided there are enough players to play the
game. Such tournaments have a small intermission after the final hand to
be continued again shortly after with any remaining players.
Sit and Go Tournaments are played similarly to
Continuous Tournaments, the only exception being that a game starts
only after a table has been fully filled with players with just one
round involved. Such Tournaments may include up to 4 tables.
The other two types of tournaments are Knock Out and Elimination tournaments.
Knock Out blackjack tournaments are played in a
similar way as Heads Up Tournaments in Poker. The game involves face to
face elimination play with the winner in each 2-way contest to advance
to the next playing round.
In Elimination Tournaments like in
conventional Poker game the players are positioned at 6 player tables to
play for rounds consisting of up to 30 hands. The winner or runner up
from each playing table go to the next round and play further until the
winner of the tournament is revealed.
